Samkelo Ndlovu Gets A Fact Wrong And Black Twitter Jumps In. The remake of the Lion King has had many people talking. Others were happy that our very own John Kani is part of the cast. On the other hand some were sad that the local media is elevating other cast members like Beyonce. Talented actress Samkelo Ndlovu also had an opinion on the film.
Taking it to Twitter, she said, “Lion king is a South African story. Set in Africa. None of the voices they chose for the remake have African accents but Rafiki. None.” Black Twitter was quick to correct her on a wrong fact that she raised. It turns out Ms Ndlovu did not do thorough research, as this is said to be an American story.
Although she got that one fact wrong, it is refreshing to note that Samkelo always comes through for local excellence. She is also one of the local celebrities who always voice their opinions against women and child abuse.
