Black Twitter Responds To Benni McCarthy’s Open Letter
Black Twitter Responds To Benni McCarthy’s Open Letter. Cape Town coach Benni McCarthy penned down an open letter with regards to soccer’s treatment in the Mother City. In the letter he tells fans that their upcoming game against Maritzburg United would be in Durban, “away from home”. The Cape Town stadium, built for the 2010 Fifa World Cup, will be used for the Rugby sevens.
McCarthy trolled the City for not reserving the stadium “ for 15 out of 365 days for the City’s premium soccer team” and for selling the city’s football fans “lies”. Black Twitter did not miss out on this one as they responded to the trending letter.Check out some of the views below;
Benni McCarthy must understand that Cape Town declared independence from South Africa in 1994, and to expand on that…it means they only support the interests of white people, and we all know abelungu don't mix with football. pic.twitter.com/OU6JYGI8ae

Benni mcCarthy's remarks are valid. People in cape town need to watch thier teams playing in capetown, I also think the city of cape town is being bias here. Football must not be taken for granted in capetown
