Final Regulations On The Expiry Of Data Bundles Due End Of October

Final Regulations On The Expiry Of Data Bundles Due End Of October. Data costs is one of the expenses most South Africans complain about. The good news is that the grievances has not fallen on deaf ears. By the end of October there will be new rules that will reduce all forms of data costs.

Responding to a question in parliament Telecommunications and Postal Services Minister Siyabonga Cwele said they are making interventions to ensure that all segments of data bundles do not automatically expire after 30 days but have a cascading scale, as proposed in Icasa’s draft regulations.

Big purchases of data bundles can only be used within 30 days. On the other hand small amounts of data are often only valid for a few days, and in some cases, for a few hours.
