Shota Opens Up About His Son Who Is Suffering From Cancer

Today was just one of those heartfelt shows on Fresh Breakfast on Metro FM. Award winning singer and producer Shota opened up about his sick son. His 4 year old son Mpilo was diagnosed with cancer and has lost both his eyes. He showed strength and faith as he talked about how they cope as a family.

Earlier this month Phumeza shared a birthday shout out to her son. The message which was re-posted by Shota read, “Today you are 4 years old! I thank God for your life everyday. Happy birthday my baby, I pray God blesses you abundantly and that you live out all your wildest dreams.” His single Sosha Lami, was written before his son became ill with cancer. But he now realizes he was talking to him.

When the child was diagnosed, his famous mum Phumeza had to step out of the limelight for a while. Its remarkable how the family has remained strong with this obstacle. The couple welcomed their first child together in 2013. By sharing this story they inspired many parents.
