Bonnie Mbuli Not Impressed By How Girls With Natural Hair Are Treated In South Africa

Women as a minority gender are always criticized on how they look and present themselves to society. Although this is one of the most developed countries in Africa, when it comes to these kind of  issues we are still left behind. Television personality Bonnie Mbuli spared no emotions when she tweeted how she feels about women always being bullied about their looks.

“The heartbreak of sending our daughters into a world that consistently bludgeons their self worth, what hogwash is this?” She commented on the issue where Kempton Park principal allegedly sends girls home from school for ‘inappropriate’ hairstyles. The sad reality is that even working women are criticized for having natural hairstyles as that is deemed unprofessional.

In another strong tweet, she had this to say, “Ur too much, too strong, tone it down, look softer, smile more,be likeable, sell yourself”-the adjectival tapestry of a black girl’s prison.”Well we are with you on this one, can’t we live women just be!!!
