Scandal’s Fulu Mugovhani Leaves Scandal For ‘Ring Of Lies’

Fulu Mugovhani who is famous for her character Anzani on an e-tv soap opera Scandal has announced that she will be leaving the soapie to act a role on a TV drama, Ring Of Lies. Fulu will make her appearance on the drama when it returns for its second season on the 31st of July.

Fulu expressed her reasons for leaving the soapie “I left Scandal because I felt that my character on the show had done it all. She stopped challenging me as an actress and I love to play but I’m very opening to returning to that role if her storyline excites me once again.”

She explained the character she will be portraying to Sowetan Live. She said that her role will be of a feisty munangwe (Venda Fist-Fighting game) fighter who goes against his fathers wishes of becoming a champion boxer. Fulu spoke of how she admires the character, and that she loves that fact that she often portray characters of strong women.

Fulu explained the character as a young woman that isn’t into glitz and glam or anything close to that. “I had 25% make up because we wanted to keep the character as real as possible” she said.

On the upcoming season of the Ring Of Lies, expect to see former Generations actor Mangaliso Ngema and Isidingo Anga Makabulo
