Ntsiki Mazwai Take Action Against Die Antwoood Album Cover

Musician Ntsiki Mazwai who expresses her thoughts and feelings without reservations, recently took offense at an album cover of one of South African musical band Die Antwood.

The cover portrayed an image she claimed made her feel “uncomfortable”. The album cover features a Xhosa traditional attire of a blanket and a hat used when conducting Circumcision ceremony.

Ntsiki took offense to the cover which she cited as disrespectful and violates her culture. To follow up on these sentiments, Mazwai took action and decided to take the group to The Commission For The Promotion & Protection Of The Rights Of Cultural Religious And Linguistic Communities.
