“It Was Just R20 000,” Zandile Khumalo As She Appears On the Covid-19 Financial Beneficiaries List

“It Was Just R20 000,” Zandile Khumalo As She Appears On the Covid-19 Financial Beneficiaries List. On Wednesday, the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture published Covid-19 financial beneficiaries. These are artist, creatives and sports people who received funding during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The list has some interesting names, among them, Mohale Motaung and MacG, who both received R75k. Arthur Mafokate and his son AJ, who each got R20k from the relief fund. Actress and entrepreneur Winnie Ntshaba’s name is also on the list. Sisters Kelly and Zandie Khumalo are also on the list, with each bagging R20k.

Zandie, however, does not get the whole idea of their names being published. The award-winning musician said she got the money legally, only for her name to be published.

It was just R20,000 for me and it was obtained legally…Must we now lose sleep, stop playing with us. Hanging our names like this as if we went to the department and robbed their safe.”

A call for applications was issued by the Dept of Arts and Culture for people who lost work and income during that dreadful and horrible time and we applied, complied and we were approved, well at least me that’s how it went so umsindo owani coz mina I wanted 200k kahle kahle bangincisha 🤣🤣🤣. Mina I have a good mind ukuthi sonke we sue this department manje izosuke ibe bankrupt sisokole futhi 🤣 ithini vele I Popi act on such things 🤔 @gaytonmck ayidumi kanje mayizohamba Minister #MoenieBaizaNie,” Zandile stated on her Instagram.

Her posts was met with different views from social media users. One person who isn’t impressed by Zandie’s words is Rami Chuene. The award winning actress said to many suffering individuals out there, the 20k is everything
