Mlungisi ‘Emkay’ Mathe Will Soon Be Dropping A ‘Maskandi’ Song
Skeem Sami actor Mlungisi Mathe who is popularly known as “Emkay” has decided to venture into Maskandi music. Yes you heard it right; he has even released his new single. He revealed on Drum Magazine that this came as a shock to many people
“It’s a shock to many people, well to me it’s not a shock” He went on to add that while growing up, he used to dance and listen to Maskandi. He used to listen to the likes of Bhekumuzi Luthuli, Phuzekhimisi to name a few. Mlungisi clearly loved Zulu folk music from a very young age.
The actor’s new single is out and it called “Badumile”. It basically talks about a girlfriend who left for Johannesburg and left her boyfriend behind. “The girlfriend saw celebrities, stylish people then started dating them” said Mlungisi. It seems like this single is a must-get. We are now anxious of what will happen next!
Mlungisi said that he’ll still continue with TV even though he has decided to venture into music. He further added that he doesn’t want to plan a lot because God has greater plans for him. Amen to that! Oh and we hope to see many more plays like “Finding Melo”.
