Mbalenhle Mavimbela Reveals the Hardest Part for Her In the Hit Film Themba. Congratulations are in order for Mbalenhle Mavimbela, who is shining with yet another lead role. The award winning actress stars in Themba, a film, which is currently making waves around the country.
The film explores grief, love, and the quiet fight for redemption. Themba had a major breakthrough by being shown at the Waterloo Film Festival from 4-6 July 2025. In the film, Mbalenhle stars alongside, Ntando Mncube, who plays her husband. Mbale revealed that this is her first project, she shot since The Wife. On top of that she shared a fun fact that she is playing wife to someone she played an enemy to, during The Wife days.
