The Mabalanes Celebrate Kabelo’s 23 Years of Sobriety. This is one family that keeps on achieving greatness. Kabelo and Gail Mabalane, are not your typical celebrity couple, their social media is all about family values, their faith, and the amazing goals they have set for themselves.
Kabelo has been sober for 23 years, which is quite an achievement, more so for someone in the entertainment industry. To mark the major milestone, his family came together to celebrate him. Both Kabelo and Gail took to their respective Instagram pages with beautiful content, to celebrate the achievement.
“We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony,” Kabelo said.
Kabelo, who is now a pastor, was once an alcoholic as well as drug user. His lifestyle got in trouble every now and then, as he always got into altercations. Kabelo was into drinking, weed, ecstasy and cocaine.
Having been hooked since 1999, it was only in 2002 that the award winning musician, author and motivational speaker, decided enough was enough. Through his story, he continues to inspire many young South Africans dealing with the same problem. How heartwarming is it that Kabelo has since cleaned up his act, and is always available to those who need help. He is now a responsible family man, married to the beautiful Gail, and together they have been blessed with two beautiful kids.
