Taxi Crash Leaves Four People Dead And 11 Injured

At least four people have been killed and 11 others injured after a taxi crashed on the N3 in Pietermaritzburg on Monday morning

The taxi was already on its side in the emergency lane when the emergency personnel arrived at the scene. “Several people were ejected from the vehicle” says the ER24’s Russel Meiring.

A woman and three men were declared dead on scene after sustaining fatal injuries. “Nothing more could be done for them” Meiring further added. The 11 others were found with minor injuries.

The root cause of the accident is still yet unknown. Further investigation will be conducted.
