Clint Brink Reveals Why He Left The Entertainment Industry
Though there are quite a few “DAYS” fans secretly hoping that former Scandal actor Clint Brink will consequently come rushing back to our small screens, he admits that those fantasies couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, his decision to walk away from the entertainment industry was a long time coming and one he has never second-guessed since originally coming to the decision years ago.
Clint took to Instagram recently to reveal the shocking reason why he left the entertainment industry.
He wrote:
“Get a lot of people asking me ” why don’t we see you on TV ?” … Well , besides the fact that I’ve been on a TV show for close to a year and a half already ( for those who can afford DSTV ) … I just got tired of all the prejudice , bias and blatant favoritism that is prevalent in the entertainment industry. Have you seen what qualifies as quality these days??? Acting is no longer reserved for artists truly dedicated to the craft itself but rather a free for all who want to be famous. Anybody & I repeat ANYBODY can now add onto their CV or name drop at the next celebrity party they attend , *in South African American accent* ” Yeah dawg Im an actor mayne ” … The same people who don’t spend time honing their craft , who gets paid shit loads of money for being ” relevant ” but with no talent & who don’t have the self respect to show respect to the ART FORM .. are now the trend influencers to top it off. What’s worse.. is that so many producers , directors , writers and even fellow actors HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE about the acting art form itself…… I am nobody’s fool.. I refuse to make fools feel it’s their right to discredit an art form that is extremely difficult to master just for the sake of being nominated for a BS award that won’t move you forward… thanx.. but Dumbbells have way more credibility than what I’m seeing manifest as of late….”
