Boity On Why She Revealed She’s A Sangoma

Following weeks of speculation that she is a sangoma. TV personality Boity Thulo took to Instagram to share a picture of herself dressed in sangoma attire. She captioned the snap: “They Called. I Answered. The Proudest, most Incredible day of my life. A Beautiful Gift that I will never take for granted.”

Boity confirmed that she underwent sangoma training, but refused to elaborate further, saying it was a private matter. Then Boity decided to share her journey as a traditional healer with her followers.

While some were not impressed that the 25-year-old Christian accepted her ancestral calling, others were pleased that she honoured her ancestors.

Boity said at the time that she was just celebrating Africa month. But apparently, she just wanted to privately undergo her training without any gossip.

Speaking to Siyabonga Ngwekazi also known as Scoop Makhathini on THE COVER, Boity opened up about her calling and explained why she went public with her spiritual journey.

She also revealed that she wasn’t expecting the criticism that she received from speaking about her calling.
