Babes Wodumo Gets ‘Song Of The Year’ And Best Breakthrough Act Nominations At MAMAs
Babes Wodumo has definitely become a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. The Durban-born songstress has been nominated in two categories so far At the MAMAs (MTV Africa Music Awards). She is nominated in the ‘Song Of The Year’ And Best Breakthrough Act categories.
Babes Wodumo, who also got the nod in the song of the year category, with her song, Wololo, featuring Mampintsha is scheduled to perform at the awards ceremony later this month,
The Wololo hit-maker will duke it out with Ngud, by Kwesta, featuring Cassper Nyovest;Roll Up Re-Up, by Emtee, featuring Wizkid; and AKA and Baddest, by AKA, featuring Burna Boy, Khuli Chana and Yanga.
The first half of the nominations list was announced two weeks ago in Johannesburg.
The awards ceremony takes place at The Dome, in Randburg, Johannesburg, on October 22. It will be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah.
The awards will broadcast live on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) and MTV (DStv Channel 130) on Saturday 22 October at 21:00 CAT. You’ll be able to stream the show live on www.mtvbase.com.
