Deep VR, Africa’s foremost cinematic virtual reality video studio, is looking to grow its post-production team!

No previous virtual reality experience required! Although regular video experience is.

We are looking for a multi-disciplinary editor to help our post-production department turn footage into incredible, immersive virtual reality experiences. Job roles would include content management, synchronising cameras, stitching footage, editing timelines, cleaning up scenes, adding titling.

The ultimate applicant would not only have expertise in post-production, but in shooting, animation and/or colour grading.

We are a cinematic virtual reality content studio. We film environments in 360 degrees to be re-lived in 2D & 3D.

Requirements

• Three years’ working experience as a video editor
• Expertise in FCPX or Premiere Pro, and Photoshop or After Effects
• High degree of creativity
• Willingness to learn (we will teach you all the ins and outs of VR)

Advantageous

• Animation
• Colour grading
• Videography
• Sound engineering/sound design
• Drone piloting

Personal Skills/Attributes

• Someone that is multi skilled or at least constantly tries to learn more about another aspect of media creation rather than just being an expect at one thing e.g. sound or editor.
• Can pickup a camera and film something, bring it back and package it into something worthy of handing to a client
• This person must be able to take a problem on their own but not fear asking for help wither. We don’t need someone that must be spoon fed but rather someone that can find sultan to problems and take them
• This person must be good on taking direction regarding creative and find a solution to bring it to live
• Must have own car and be willing to travel including outside SA, must have passport.
