Nosipho Silinda is definitely living up to that saying, as her star shines brighter every minute. The talented singer and actress has already released banging hits, and has bagged herself a role in one of the biggest telenovelas in the country, The Queen.

1. Nosipho Silinda is the eldest of six children and hails from Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal.

2. She was born into a very musical family. Nosipho sang in church, school choirs and did cover songs for YouTube until she was ready to share that with the world on the idols stage.

3. Silinda broke into the industry when she joined Idols South Africa season 14. She made a mark in the competition and exited the show as a Top Six contestant.

4. In 2019 she had to repeat grade 11 after dropping out in 2018 to focus on the SA Idols competition.

5. Nosipho then signed a recording deal with Gallo Record Company, the recording deal that she was offered when she broke into the top 10 was finalized in April 2019.

6. In 2019 Nosipho recorded her debut single Thembalami. She then went on to release two more singles Wena Wedwa an d Don’t kill my vibe.

7. She describes herself as Liberal, unorthodox and very out of the box in terms of her style of writing.

8. In March 2021, Nosipho ventured into acting and made her debut on The Queen. She plays the role of Cici who is causing chaos in the Khoza household.

9. Keeping it in the family, Nosipho is happy to be managed by her mother, who’s affectionately known as Miss T.

10. Nosipho’s aunt is award winning singer and TV personality Busisiwe “Cici” Thwala. Cici has bee supportive of her niece’s career from the get go ad the two are very close.
