Muvhango Bids Farewell to the Iconic Vho-Mukondeleli Character

Muvhango Bids Farewell to the Iconic Vho-Mukondeleli Character. Having watched her on the SABC2 drama for decades, many have come to be die-hard fans of Elsie Rasalanavho. The veteran actor played the iconic role of Vho-Mukondeleli, a woman who brought nothing but the much needed drama on Muvhango.

The character of Vho-Mukondeleli has been through the most in recent months. Her son Mulalo fled to Tanzania with his lover, breaking her heart. She also battled them for custody of her grandchild, but all she received was a restaurant. Soon after, she became involved with a drug dealer, but everything worked out when the man was arrested.

Over the past couple of weeks Vho-Mukondeleli has been batting for her life in hospital. This came after she overheard Nomasonto and Rose discuss their nasty little secret. She was then attacked and pushed after confronting them, causing her to fall into a coma. When things appear to be improving and she appears to be healing, Nomasonto smooths her with a pillow to prevent her from revealing their identities. She is brain dead and on life support, according to the physicians.

Although Rasalanavho confirmed her exit at Muvhango’s 25th birthday celebrations over a month ago, many fans of the show were hoping that a miracle will happen and their favorite will somehow make it. Sadly, that won’t happen as Muvhango has just updated on their Instagram page that Vho-Mukondeleli is no more.

As a teacher by profession, Rasalanavho said it was not easy for her, as she had to teach children and during weekends, act. On her farewell speech, Rasalanavho said she will miss her colleagues Regina Nesengani and Eunice Mabeta who play Vho-Masindi and Vho-Makhadzi respectively.

R.I.P Vho-Mukondeleli 🕊🕊😭💔.”
