Phumeza Mdabe Scores New TV Gig On SABC 1!
Former Our Perfect Wedding host, Phumeza Mdabe, has scored an exciting new TV gig. The local TV personality will be starring in the second season of the SABC 1 sitcom, Ithuba Lokugcina. The local sitcom follows the lives of a group of underachieving misfits who come together to save their futures, save face and save telling their parents that they’ve again failed. As a heroic/foolish Professor Milton thinks he can save them all and turn them into the brains they wish they had
This will be Phumeza’s second TV appearance‚ after taking a hiatus from the limelight to take care of her son‚ who was diagnosed with cancer. She then returned to TV starring in Heist a month after her son was given the ‘all-clear’.
Phumeza broke the news yesterday on her account Instagram account with the caption: “Meet ‘Philile Dlamini ‘ the dean of Ithuba College.”
She added: “Just got my shooting schedule. Excited about my new role! Haven’t done a comedy since 2007 when I did Dube on 2 Reloaded, so doing a sitcom is very refreshing.”
