JUMBO: Wholesale and Retail Operation Learnership Opportunity

PLEASE NOTE: This opportunity only exists for candidates that reside in East London/ Mdastane.

The program will run for 12 months and will be divided into two parts as per below:

The Practical on the job training will consist out of the following :

• Shop assistant
• Merchandising , Customer service ,Sales and Housekeeping

• Cashier
• Pont of Sales (POS) procedures & Customer service

• Admin controller
• Administrative functions in a clothing retail store
• Cashing up cashiers, checking floats etc.

• Assistant Manager
• Scheduling staff
• Relieving manger

• Store Manager
• Driving sales
• Managing stores expenses
• Ensuring Productivity of Staff

The Theoretical modules that would be covered during the 12 months are :

• Customer Service Module
• Define the core concepts of the wholesale and retail Environment
• Interact with customers
• Resolve customer queries / complaints

• Communication Module
• Access information in order to respond to client enquiries in a financial services environment
• Maintain and adapt oral/signed communication
• Use language and communication in occupational learning programmes
• Write/present for a defined context
• Access and use information from texts

• Operations
• Record transactions
• Maintain a safe and secure wholesale and retail Environment
• Count stock for a stock-take
• Process payment at a Point of Sales (POS)
• Receive stock
• Sell products to customers in a wholesale and retail Outlet
• Operate a computer in a Wholesale/Retail outlet
• Mark merchandise and maintain displays

• Business Mathematics (Subdivision of Communication)

• Complete basic business calculations
• Work with a range of patterns and functions and solve problems.
• Use mathematics to investigate and monitor the financial aspects of personal and community life.
• Demonstrate understanding of rational and irrational numbers and number systems.
• Identify, describe, compare, classify, explore shape and motion in 2-and 3-dimensional shapes in different contexts

Minimum requirements for the job:

• Matric Certificate.
• Valid Driver’s Licence – Code 8 unendorsed (will be beneficial to the candidate)
