1. Unilever South Africa

According to the Top Employers report, Unilever South Africa does a good job in taking care of its employees. The company was voted the top employer in the country for two years running, ensuring that people covet the possibility of working for the world’s third largest consumer goods company after Procter and Gamble and Nestle. Unilever has 3,500 staff in the country, and is responsible for hundreds of brands, including the likes of Omo, Sunlight, Axe, Lipton and Knorr, amongst many others.

2. Old Mutual

Financial services giant Old Mutual was able to secure the top employer spot as the best financial services and insurance provider to work at for the fifth consecutive year, while it is the second best out of all companies. It is also considered a top employer on the African continent in general, doing well in all eight countries that it currently serves, which include Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.

3. Vodacom South Africa (Pty) Ltd
