How Cool! Kabelo and Gail Mabalane’s Children Reenact Their Parents’ SAFTAs Looks. This past Saturday, many local celebrities gathered at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg. This was for the annual South African Film and TV Awards (SAFTAS), which were back for their 19th edition.
One of the celebrated creatives who won an award on the night is Gail Mabalane. She won an award for Best Actress in a TV Drama for her role as Zenzi Mwale in Unseen. The awards is definitely a big one for Gail, as it marks her first SAFTA. Accompanying her was her husband Kabelo Mabalane, who clapped hard when Gail’s names was called out.
The inspirational couple also made a statement on the red carpet. Gail looked all sorts of stunning in her custom made deep cherry red dress by TN COLLECTIV. The dress made from silk and chiffon material showed off Gail’s beautiful body, making her stand out. She also made a powerful statement with her signature German cut hairstyle. Her man Kabelo, looked all debonair in his black suite, white shirt and black tie.
Clearly Gail and Kabelo are not the only fashion forward members of the family. Their kids Zoe and Khumo also hold their own as fashionistas. The two decided to rock mommy and daddy’s SAFTAs outfits, and they ate. Kabelo just shared how they pulled it off, and their online family can’t get enough of the two!

My amazing wife @gail_mabalane stole the show, and we came home to find our kids had clearly taken notes—dressed like us, striking poses, and showing off their best ‘grown-up’ moves.
