  • Candidates need to be available for training at HDI from the 17-21 August 2015. 08.00am – 17.00pm
  • Own vehicle
  • Previous acting experience advantageous
  • Must be able to connect with children. Fun, vibey, good attitude.
  • The candidate’s need to be able to take direction well.
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Presenters will be working from 1 September to the end of November or until target has been met, therefore need to be available weekdays during this period
  • Need to be able to speak at least one of the following vernacular languages: IsiZulu,SeStswana,SeSotho,IsiXhosa

4. Publicist

Job description

Reporting to the PR manager, your key performance areas will include:

  • Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies and campaigns  and ensuring that they are executed effectively
  • Manage communication around e.tv and the various shows in your portfolio
  • Manage database and information about the different projects in your portfolio
  • Prepare communication strategies for the platform and the different shows in your portfolio
  • Write publicity material
  • Plan, coordinate and direct activities with the goal to solicit strategic media coverage
  • Adhere to the administration required including consistency of communication and submission of weekly status reports
  • Liaising with colleagues and key spokespeople
  • Keep financial records of different projects under his/her portfolio

Media relations

  • Establish professional relationships with key media
  • Draft publicity plans for the shows
  • Pitch feature ideas to journalists
  • Deal with media requests for interviews and pictures
  • Send publicity material to media and following these up
  • Analysing media coverage
  • Liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about timescales and objectives
  • Managing the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.

Stakeholder relations

  • Establish professional relationships with channels
  • Create and maintain the public image of the celebrities associated with e.tv and related companies
  • Cultivate a genuine, working relationships with key media and entertainment industry stakeholders e.g. image consultants, photojournalists and corporate
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationship with key groups such as producers, actors and other stakeholders associated with the platform

Events

  • Coordinate celebrity invitations to strategic entertainment industry events
  • Ensure careful planning and management, media and celebrity attendance and post event media coverage
  • Deal with celebrities’ requests at the strategic entertainment industry events e.g. screenings and promotional events etc.
  • Coordinate celebrities for corporate social investment projects

Media event management

  • Liaise with the executive team to organise events held by the department
  • Distribution of event invites – either electronically or physically
  • Collate RSVPs from media contacts
  • Coordinate talent releases: coordinate bios, press releases, photos, EPKs, press kits
  • Sourcing and managing speaking and sponsorship opportunities;


Writing
 

  • Designing, writing and/or producing presentations, press releases, leaflets, reports, publicity brochures, information for web sites and promotional videos
  • Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes

Online

  • Monitor website material for shows in your portfolio and the broader e.tv brand
  • Assisting the online team by supplying fresh copy and pictures for show in your portfolio
  • Update the press office
  • Increase brand recognition by creating partnerships in the online community and blogosphere

Requirements

  • Three year diploma/degree in public relations or communications
  • Five to seven years publicity/public relations experience
  • Exceptional writing skills

Our well established company that has been in operation for over 21 years is looking to aggressively expand sales teams. (Either insurance sales or cosmetic & beauty)

We offer a basic salary for security + uncapped commission + benefits. Our company does not have any claw-backs. The only way you can earn just a basic with us is if you don’t come in to work!

New consultants will have to start in our training programme that runs for a minimum of nine weeks: you need to reach your target to progress to the next week and higher payment structure. (Targets start off at 4 sales per day and ends at 7 per day)

You will have the opportunity to earn between R2,500 to R8,500 (or more) per week during training.

Exceptionally high income can be expected when permanent with us. Current consultants (excluding top 20 performers) are averaging around R42,000 per month and basic is R5,500. This is our one of a kind uncapped comm structure at work!
