AKA: “My Name Keeps Popping Up In Places Where I Have No Business Being Mentioned”

Like, how many times should we say this? AKA is shutting it down and let’s just say that Hip Hop is his playground. With his single ‘Baddest’ headed for No. 1, AKA has taken to Instagram to thank his fans for their support. You know what they say, “Never forget your fans on your way up!”. So, it’s no surprise why Kiernan Forbes has a large fan base, the Hip Hop star always acknowledges his fans.
After dropping “Composure” on the 9th September, AKA released another track just 48 hours later while fans were still mulling offer the shots in diss track. His new song “Baddest” was released via iTunes and features Burna Boy, Khuli Chana and Yanga. It has been a busy year for the rapper after-all, but AKA can attest that hard work really pays and as we speak, Baddest is sitting at number two and it is one spot away from becoming the biggest song in the country across all genres.
AKA, who calls himself “The African Hip Hop Prince” cannot be accused of lacking ambition. What’s most impressive is that he also succeeded in forging a fresh hip-hop sound on #Levels. It was impressive evolution for the rapper who first appeared on the SA music scene in teenage hip-hop crew Entity.
One spot away!
