Bonang Matheba
Drink lots of water. Even though I’m lucky to have inherited good genes, water is non-negotiable for me. Sleep! Yes, my schedule is hectic, but I always make sure that my body is thriving and that I get enough rest. Use the same family of products. I’ve found that doing this (both with my skincare and hair care items) means that the products really complement each other. I also never sleep with my make-up on and never leave the house without applying sunscreen – even if it’s just a few drops. Don’t be afraid to have fun with make-up. That’s what it’s there for!
Pearl Thusi
To keep a natural ‘fro looking good, keep it nourished with plenty of oils, and seal that in with some silicone-enriched finishing products. As far as natural oils go, olive, avocado and jojoba are great to work into damp hair, as is pure shea butter – you can get certified organic oils from Soil Organic Aromatherapy. To keep protecting it from the elements, an argan / silicone product like GOSH Argan oil, R89, worked into dry hair will do the trick.
Boity Thulo
Boity takes a very well-rounded approach to her skin care routine which includes drinking water and exercise. She ensures that she cleanses her face both morning and night and keeps her skin moisturised during the day. Her main skin care concerns are the dark circles under her eyes and uneven skin tone. Boity experiences bad skin days when she hasn’t exercised for longer than two weeks and it is usually a sign that she needs to detox.
Shashi Naidoo
Shashi is a big advocate for natural beauty remedies with water being the biggest part of her skin care routine, drinking at least five glasses a day to rid her body of toxins. She also makes sure that she never goes to bed with make-up on and uses a night mask at least once a week. Her regular routine includes cleansing and moisturising to protect her skin from the elements. Water, exercising and relaxing is what Shashi recommends for a bad skin day. Bright Plus’s advanced formulas improve the skin’s clarity and radiance.

I love nude coloured lipsticks at the moment because they give my lips a soft and natural look plus the dewy beauty trend is back this season. Washing your hair every week is very important and treatment to help keep it strong and looking good helps too. It may sound cliché but it’s an old rule that still works. Don’t change your skin care products regularly, let your skin get used to what you have and let it work. Your skin is very important so take good care of it.Five minutes is more than enough time to get a perfect face. My go-to tools are foundation, lipgloss, mascara and bronzer.
