Nadia Nakai is the first completely commercial female rapper to hit the SA music scene.  She’s not only a cute face but a driven hard worker and will not settle for anything less than the best. On this article, we’ve listed the 10 Things that you should know about Nadi Nakai…….

1. Nadia was born and bred in South Africa. Her mom is Zimbabwean and her father is South African.

2. She found her love for Hip-Hop and Rap music at the age of 16 and from then was inspired to start recording.

3.  She was the winner of Shiz Niz Mixtape 101.  Nadia was the first female winner.

4. Nadia discovered her lyrical abilities when she was staying in Kenya. There was a Hip Hop event and she fell in love.

5. Nadia is a presenter for PRTV .  She was the resident MC judge on Sabc1 Show “Battle Stations”. She also hosted of one of South Africa’s biggest hip hop festivals called back to the city.

6. She completed a double major in Marketing, Communications & Media Studies.

7. She  joined forces with her childhood friend Lalla a songstress and formed the duo group called KaiRayne which was a mix of Rnb and Hiphop.

8. Nadia worked for an advertising agency for some work experience.

9. Nadia was nominated for a South African Hip Hop award for the best female Category in 2012.

10. Nadia Nakai has peformed on Shiz Niz, The Breakfast show, Battle Stations and Back to the City as well as clubs in and around Johannesburg.
