Pearl Modiadie To Host A New Show On SABC 1
Television personality Pearl Modiadie is set to host a new show called ‘Raw Silk’ which will soon air on SABC 1 starting from the 7th of February. The show will profile the journeys of up and coming designers and has elimination each week
Pearl is currently hosting Zaziwa which is moving from Thursday at 19:30 to Sundays at 20:30. The ‘Raw Silk’ started filming in late 2016. “Great voice session this morning for the brand new show i’m hosting, Raw Silk! Celebrity make-up artist Nthato Mashishi, who has worked with the who’s who of South Africa, will be the judge in the show, alongside founder of South African fashion label “House Of Ole”, Yasmin Furmie.
By the looks of things, the production standards are very high and everything has been thought out. The name of the show represents space of unearthed talent in South African fashion designers. The show is an important platform for new designers to garner more knowledge and skills. Each episode will see the aspirant designers sent to different locations after receiving briefs from their clients who come to place orders.
