Nandi Mngoma & Zakes Bantwini To Release A Song Soon!

Popular musicians Nandi Mngoma and Zakes Bantwini have finally heeded the call of their fans to collaborate on a song. Nandi and Zakes, who are rumoured to be in a relationship, have recorded a song called ‘Dance’ together.

Speaking to Drum magazine during filming of the music video for the track, the duo said they are thrilled about the opportunity to work together.

“This is something that everyone has been waiting for us to do. I’m glad that we finally did it,” Nandi told the magazine.

And explaining why they’ve taken so long to join forces, Zakes said that they were waiting for the right song to make its appearance at a suitable opportunity.

“The time was right to do it. We understand each other and we used each other’s strengths,” said Zakes, who last year reportedly approached Nandi’s family about paying lobola for her.

And while they once again neither confirmed nor denied speculation that they are romantically involved, the characteristically humble Nandi added: “”We don’t want people to look at us and think we are perfect. Every person has their issues. We do disagree but we also work very well together.

“We are artists first before anything, and we like to keep our personal life out of the public eye. But we are not trying to be like Jay Z or Beyonce.”

‘Dance’ is set for release on 27 April 2015.
