Cassper Nyovest’s Team Prepares Tight Security For Show In Zimbabwe
Rapper Cassper Nyovest’s management has confirmed that he will go ahead with his Zimbabwe show despite the threats on social media.
On Thursday, Cassper received intimidating messages on social media, which threatened his life if he goes ahead with his show in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, on 25 April.
According to Channel24, Cassper’s PR team, African Star, released a statement confirming the news.
“Cassper has received messages and calls threatening himself and his team, should he perform in Zimbabwe on Saturday, 25 April,” reads the statement.
“We can however confirm that booked performances will be honoured. Promoters from the venues have ensured the safety of Cassper Nyovest, his team and fans.”
Cassper and his team were assured that safety measures would be in place for his performance after a meeting with the organisers of the show.
Other artists such as Big Nuz, who are also set to perform in Zimbabwe, have said that they might pull out of shows over threats they reportedly also received on social media.
In the threatening messages, the Zimbabweans claim to boycott the show because of the xenophobic attacks on their brothers and sisters by South Africans.
