10 Craziest Things That Happened At The 2015 SAMA Awards

Last night was the 21st South African Music Awards. It was a big night for hip hop artist K.O and Beatenberg. The Cape Town pop trio, Beatenberg scooped the most coveted awards and walked away with six awards. Congratulations to the others who also won. The SAMA awards came to Rustenburg and there was no shortage of gif-able moments. We watched it and compiled a list of the 10 nuttiest things that went down.

Take a look at the following craziest things that happened at the SAMA Awards…. It was a night filled with moments we’ll never forget.

1. When Sifiso Ncwane received his award on stage, he called his wife “Kim Kardashian”. That was really interesting coming from a gospel artist.

2. During Cassper Nyovest’s performance. He broke it down with all the moves. It was almost as if we were watching Usher performing.

3. When A-King went on stage and one member said “f*** yeah”. We think the pair were drunk.

4. When Cassper Nyovest won newcomer of the year and said “I don’t know what I won for”. He sounded arrogant.

5. HHP called for Dj Sbu to present the award and made a joke about Dj Sbu’s energy drink and said “of course he can, what do you mean?, Dj Sbu doesnt have a can”.

6. When AKA was wearing a jacket with bright lights. Dj Fresh tweeted about it and said this……

7. When most of the male winners of the night brought their wives with on stage.

8. When AKA won and did push-ups on stage before taking his award. He was very happy hey!

9. When the winner for best group of the year was about to be called out, Latoya Makhene asked who the crowd thought it was. The crowd shouted out “The soil”. Then she opened the envelope only to call out Beatenberg.

10. When HHP asked who Bucie is dating. “Is it Cassper or Ricky Rick?”- Bucie brought a guy on stage. We are not sure if that’s her boyfriend or not.
