Chemical Operations Learnership Programme at PetroSA
PetroSA is offering to train 15 unemployed learners, on a fixed-term contract basis, in order to receive a Chemical Operations NQF Level 1 qualification.The 12 month training programme will involve both Chemical Operations theory and a practical component at the Centre of Excellence and PetroSA GTL Refinery. The training will take place in Mosselbay.
PetroSA continues to play an instrumental role in the country’s transformation through a range of activities that span the petroleum chain. Starting with the exploration and production of oil and natural gas, we sell petrochemical products to South Africa’s major oil companies and export petrochemical products to the international markets.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification with Mathematics and Physical Science
English proficiency
Ability to work within a Chemical Process Plant environment
Basic computer literacy would be an advantage

Attendance of theoretical classes at the Centre of Excellence
Undertake Process Operator training within a Chemical Process environment
Undertake shift work as and when required
Achieve competency in all relevant NQF Level 1 Unit Standards and compile a Portfolio of Evidence in support of this qualification
