ANC Gets Sued For R2.4m
Of late, ANC is often on the news for all the wrong reasons. If it’s not anything to do disappointing South Africans as a party, then it everything to with fraud. This time is not different, the ruling party is sued to pay R2.4 Million.
It was reported that Creditors circled the ANC like vultures on Tuesday, with one company aggrieved that the party splashed R2.2 million on a stadium for its 103rd birthday while another towed away a Mercedes-Benz G class after the party defaulted on parking rental payments.
Mkhize had said the party was unable to pay as there was a dispute over who the rightful owner of M&M was – with a third party having claimed ownership of the company.
Kodwa said on Tuesday: “We are aware of the matter. Our lawyers are dealing with it.”
Last year on the 10th of December 2014, a businessperson took the ANC to court for allegedly failing to pay R7.4 million for a marquee used during its Mangaung elective conference. It was reported that David Naidoo has accused the African National Congress of failing to pay for the 2012 deal with M&M Marquee.
This proves that the ANC does not keep it’s promises. Many incidents like this occur and it seems like ANC isn’t worried at all about it’s reputation.
