Welcome new Idols SA Judge- Somizi “Somga-ga” Mhlongo

Who would have thought? While many of us were waiting, anticipating the big news to whom the new Idols SA judge will be. According to reports, Idols SA welcomes the Diva, Somizi as new judge after nearly 6 years and that’s definitely something interesting and even beyond.

Wow, thinking about this just creates too many goose bumps. The idols SA Auditions took off last Saturday, 31st January 2015 and we know now that it’s down to business and only one person will be crowned the winner.

Somizi , popularly known as “Somgaga” will be working alongside Randall Abrahams, Unathi Msengana and Gareth Cliff for the eleventh season of one of SA’s biggest TV talent competition. For the first time Idols SA has reopened the seat for a fourth judge since the founding judge Dave Thompson left the show at the end of Season 5 (2009).

Mhlongo told Idols SA that he has never be so excited, adding that he would be judging with “razzmatazz”. He also warned contestants that he was looking for those with showmanship and not just a good voice.

Somizi told the Sowetan that he was secretive about this for the past two months, since he was offered a seat on the judging panel two months ago.

We must say with Somizi on the judge panel, Idols SA is by no doubt a must see!
