From a young age they nurture them, protect them and support them as they grow older to cave their own paths. This is something we see from the way Basetsana Kumalo raises her children.
Although she is in the public eye, Basetsana has managed to shield her kids from the public for years. The former Miss South Africa and TV mogul, only started showing her kids’ faces on social media two years ago. She is also all about instilling the right values in her children, who despite coming from a well off family still do household chores.
This past Monday, her firstborn son Nkosinathi was turning 17, and mommy spoke highly of him. Like the dotting mother she is, Basetsana regards Nathi a treasure as well as a true gift. She also gave him advice to always stay true to himself. On the video she shared, her son is cutting his mouthwatering birthday cake, and the mother and son get engaged in a cool chat. Nathi reveals tat he can’t wait to turn 18, so he could be, ”legal”.

Watching you grow is such a beautiful blessing.Thank you for choosing me to be your mother. May the hand of God always be upon you. Remember to always stay true to you.
