10 Tips on How to Learn a Different Language

Learning a different language is not an easy thing especially when you are all grown up. Studies show that it’s easier to learn a new language when you are still a kid than it is when you are an adult. You have to be committed, whether you just interesterested in the language or whether your work requires you to. Here are tips that can help you speak or write a different language like it’s your own.

1. Practice Learning-Listen to music in the language of interest, watch videos and download speech files; this will help in you in speaking.

2. Use language lab-Prepare yourself by reading exercises, then put them aside and listen. Only speak or write when asked to.

3. When others speak, listen-If you are in a space where someone speaks the language, listen carefully, don’t interrupt, and only ask them after they are done. Listening helps with how you say the word correctly.

4. Make a friend with a native speaker-This is another fun way to learn a new language, start hanging out with people who speak the language. They will correct you where you are wrong.

5. Be Inventive-Find your own unique way that helps you remember words; you can make them a song or a poem. Be inventive in acquiring new words.

6. Memorize-Memorizing the key wo0rds, chaining and rhymes helps you not forget.

7. Children learning– Use children books when learning a new language because they are illustrated and easy to read and understand.

8. Flash Cards– Create flash cards to help you learn quickly, they can be digital or paper. Explore more.

9. Immersion– Immense yourself deeply in learning. Put stickers with phrase on your fridge, your bedroom wall.

10. Reading novels or magazines– This will help you understand how the language is written, then you can also use Google advanced search to see meaning and pronunciations.
