Showroom Assistant – Publishing Industry

Job description

My client is looking for someone to take full accountability of sales, marketing and management of the Cape Town showroom. This position is immediately available.

Main responsibilities:

• To meet showroom targets on a monthly basis (as per budget).
• To ensure that the showroom is adequately stocked at all times.
• To ensure that the showroom is aesthetically appealing and properly merchandised at all times –

• Sales and marketing:

o        To service walk in showroom clientele;

o        To seek out new promotional and corporate clients.

• To ensure that there is no stock shrinkage and conduct a bi-weekly stock take.
• Ensure that internet orders are dispatched timeously.
• To ensure that daily cash ups and cash balances at all times.
• To ensure that the COD account is clear.
• To ensure a high level of product knowledge.
• To ensure that daily sales trackers are submitted within the day that you are reporting on.
• To ensure that weekly sales projections are submitted on or before the close of business every Friday.
• To ensure that monthly sales reports are completed timeously within three days of month end.
• To assist with sales and marketing activities e.g. promotions, trade shows, workshops, etc.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s licence.
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• An excellent command of the English and Afrikaans language
