SARS Graduate Trainee

South African Revenue Services also known as SARS, has opened their doors to Graduates. Students, if you Studying Tax and Auditing this Trainee opportunity is just for you. Application details available @ YOUTH VILLAGE.

To be trained in practical workplace taxation and auditing; and to gain exposure to perform entry level tax audits. This will be a 24 month development Programme.

Person requirements

  • Computer literate – MS Office
  • Sound academy record
  • Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Innovative mind-set
  • Self-starter with detail orientation
  • Commitment
  • Passion for taxation, accounting and auditing
  • South African citizen

Degree requirements

  • B Comm Hons (Taxation or Accounting)
  • Accounting at a minimum 3rdyear level
  • B Comm Hons completed before December 2014
  • B Com Hons competed at a SAICA accredited South African University

Experience

Recently qualified university graduates with less than 18 months formal work experience

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Ability

  • be discreet when dealing with client information
  • ensure that the requirements of SARS are met
  • understand age analysis of accounts
  • understand general ledger structures

Experience

  • age analysis of accounts
  • banking and banking reconciliations
  • data collection and analysis
  • general ledger entries
