Too cool for a seat belt? This Horrific video of a car crash on the N2 will change your mind #BuckleUp
It’s unfortunate to note that a lot of people still drive without seat belts even thought they are aware that a seat belt is well designed to secure you against harmful movement that may result during a collision or a sudden stop. Studies in the United States have shown that wearing seatbelts could have prevented 75 percent of injuries in children under the age of four, and 50 percent in children aged four to 12 . In South Africa driving without a seat belt will yield one a R100 fine. This however has not deterred or discouraged people from driving without seat belts.
The video below shows an accident that took place on the N4 where a driver in a convertible was flipped out of is car after a collision something that could have been avoided had he had worn a seat belt.
