SALARY : R227 802 – R268 338 per annum (Salary will be determined in accordance with
experience). The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance
agreement.
CENTRE : Office of the Family Advocate: Kimberley
REQUIREMENTS : A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or National Diploma in Public
Administration/Management; Three years Supervisory experience in
Administration within Public Sector; Extensive knowledge of the Medium Term
Expenditure Framework, and Basic Accounting System will be an advantage; A
valid driver’s license. Skills and Competencies: Computer literacy (MS Office);
Communication (written and verbal) skills; Good Interpersonal relations;
Organizational and leadership skills.
DUTIES : Key Performance Areas: Execute administrative functions and provide effective
management within the office/service point; Work independently as office
manager in respect of the Family Advocacy at a service point (Kimberley Office);
Attend and report at Family Advocate Review meetings; Execute a variety of
administrative tasks pertaining to render administrative support to the line
functionaries, i.e. control of documents, draft memoranda, submissions,
correspondence to public members, organizations and state departments;
Render advice/assistance on a wide spectrum of matters within occupational
class context, i.e. the interpreting of statutes/provisions, budgeting, maintenance,
planning actions and special projects; Compile and submit monthly statistics and
expenditure in respect of an office; Attend to Performance Management and
appraisals of administrative component of the Family Advocate office at the
service point; Manage and control allocated government vehicles; Manage and
safeguard departmental assets; Manage and oversee the procurement
processes in the Unit
