ADMINISTRATION CLERK (10 POSTS)
Remuneration: R123 738 per annum (Level 5) (Ref. GP1/12/14) Component: Gauteng 10111 Centre, Midrand
Post requirements: • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) • Certificate in Office Administration/Management/Public Administration/ Management or related fields • Applicants in possession of a higher qualification in the specific field or who have completed an internship/currently undergoing an internship in the Public Service may receive preference • Appropriate/relevant experience in the field of the post as well as competency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be an advantage.
Core functions: • Provide an administrative and clerical support services at the unit • Receive calls from members of the public regarding incidents and crime • Log incidents and complaints on the relevant computer system • Dispatch complaints to reaction vehicles • Receive feedback from reaction vehicles and capture outcome on the Police Computer System • Follow up on outstanding complaints • Render duties as a Call Taker and Call Dispatcher • Render administrative support functions • Control the human and physical resources of the Sub-section • Enter data into the computer from a source document by means of a keyboard • Communicate by means of a keyboard in the prescribed order with the computer to capture data • Capture incoming source in register • Exercise control to ensure that all work has been done
• Compare computer prints with entries in the register • Train newcomers • Complete daily production returns.
