Job Summary Murray & Roberts Projects invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Welding Foreman for the Kusile Project reporting to the Welding Supervisor. The project entails the building of 6 x 780 MW Coal Fired Super Critical Boiler for the coal fired Kusile Power Station to be erected at the Kusile Site at Witbank, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Peference will be given to suitably qualified EE candidates
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Must have sound knowledge of all welding procedures and materials
Able to plan and control all welding activities in responsible area
Must have good health 
Must have sound knowledge of how to manhandle equipment and materials
Able to read fabrication drawings
Must understand the use and implementation of risk assessments
Able to apply weld matrix sheet on a daily basis and understand weld maps
Able to request NDT with the QC Department.

Key Requirements candidates must have the following work experience: 

Qualified artisan with 5 – 6 years or experience in the welding field. 
Candidate must have a good track record being employed as a welding foreman
Must have excellent people and communication skills
Must be fluent in English

Education Suitable candidates must possess a combination of the following minimum qualifications and skills:

Minimum Grade 12 certificate (N3 equivalent)
Must have welding qualification (Trade Test) and good track record
