Itumeleng Khune

Itumeleng Isaac Khune (born 20 June 1987) is a South African professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Kaizer Chiefs in the Premier Soccer League, as well as the South African national team, both of which he is captain.

Khune is known for his quick reflexes and his distribution which has been hailed as “the best you will see anywhere” by former Liverpool goalkeeper Sander Westerveld.

Moeneeb Josephs

Moeneeb Josephs (pronounced Muh’Neeb), (born 19 May 1980) is a South African football (soccer) goalkeeper who plays for Bidvest Wits in the Premier Soccer League.

Josephs is a highly rated goalkeeper in South Africa. His ability to kick with both feet, play as a sweeper and distribute the ball comfortably are some of his traits.

Senzo Meyiwa

Senzo Robert Meyiwa (born 24 September 1987) is a South African football (soccer) player who plays as a goalkeeper for Orlando Pirates in the Premier Soccer League and the South Africa national team. He hails from Umlazi in Durban.

He was part of the squad that won the treble twice in a row including two league medals.

Andre Leander Arendse (born 27 June 1967 in Cape Town, Western Cape) is a retired South African footballer who played as a goalkeeper.

He now works as an assistant and goalkeeper coach for Bidvest Wits and has also been a co-presenter with SuperSport.

Brian Baloyi

Brian Baloyi (born 16 March 1974 in Alexandra, Gauteng) is a retired South African football (soccer) goalkeeper.

Baloyi made his professional debut in 1993. He joined league rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in 2004 after playing for Kaizer Chiefs for over a decade. He is commonly nicknamed “Spiderman”.

Arthur Bartman

Arthur Bartman (born 26 March 1972 in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal) is a retired South African football (soccer) goalkeeper who last played for Kaizer Chiefs in the Premier Soccer League.

He previously played for Bay United, Free State Stars, Dynamos, Moroka Swallows, Supersport United, Bush Bucks, Maritzburg City, African Wanderers, Kaizer Chiefs, African Wanderers, Crystal Brains, Rebels FC, Royal Tigers, MBO Lions, Maritzburg United and Real Taj.

He now works as a goalkeeper coach for Maritzburg United.

Roger De Sá

Roger De Sá (born Rogério Paulo Cesar de Sá on 1 October 1964 in Maputo, Mozambique) is a South African football manager and the current head coach of Premier Soccer League club Ajax Cape Town. De Sá is a former footballer and played as goalkeeper.

De Sá is also one of the handful of South Africans who have represented their country in three different sports — soccer, basketball and indoor soccer.

Bruce David Grobbelaar (born 6 October 1957) is the current goalkeeper coach for Ottawa Fury FC of the North American Soccer League.As a player, Grobbelaar represented Zimbabwe at international level and a number of clubs, most prominently the English team Liverpool, during a professional career spanning more than 20 years. He is remembered for his gymnastic-like athletic ability, unflappable confidence and eccentric and flamboyant style of play.

Calvin Marlin

Calvin Marlin (born April 20, 1976 in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape) is a South African football (soccer) goalkeeper who plays for Mpumalanga Black Aces and South Africa.

He has played for Michau Warriors, Cape Town Spurs, Seven Stars, Ajax Cape Town, Supersport United and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Marlin was a participant at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He was South Africa’s first choice keeper at the 2006 African Nations Cup in Egypt and has so far been capped 16 times.

He kicks left-footed but throws right-handed.
