Lorde Stays Being The Queen

I guess most people are getting tired of hear this name, but if a girl is doing a great job, why you gotta hate on her?

No this is not another beef with someone or about Lorde dissing someone. It’s about the Queen Lorde breaking another record.

Lorde’s first single off the Mockingjay soundtrack “Yellow Flicker Beat” has debuted on the Billboard Alternative chart at the 17th spot, making history as the highest single entrance on the alternative charts by a woman since 1995, a year before Lorde was born!

No song by a female artist has debuted as high on the Alternative Chart since Juliana Hatfield’s “Universal Heart-Beat” also began at No. 17 on March 25, 1995. This is the second record Lorde has broken on Billboard’s Alternative Chart, after “Royals” debuted at number 1, making her the first female to do so since 1996. “Yellow Flicker Beat” is Lorde’s first single since her debut albumĀ Pure Heroine, so expect the power girl to continue breaking records with her ah-mazing music.

The single was also featured in the movie the Hunger Games which has been a great success on screens across the world.

Congrads to Lorde and let’s hope she stays flourishing because at the end of the day I honestly love her music.
