Introduction

Transnet Group Services has a Graduate Trainee position available in Johannesburg (Reference 6001981)

Position Purpose

To provide support to the programme manager in the running of programmes by tracking the activities of programme work streams against the triple constraints (time, cost and quality) as defined by the programme plan. The position also provides administrative support to the Programme Director who has overall accountability for the delivery of the programme.

Position outputs:

• Assist in the developing of the programme schedule
• Track progress on the activities and update the schedule based on completed activities
• Assist in the development of the programme budget through extensive engagement with the work stream leads
• Track the burn-rate of the programme against the defined cost by activity and ensure accruals are made.
• Assist in the development of the programme scope and its decomposition into detailed activities
• Assist in developing quality criteria for all programme deliverablesssist in creating the programme Vision , Business Case, Blueprint Design and Delivery, Leadership and Stakeholder
• Engagement, Risk Management and Issue Resolution, Planning and Control, Quality Management etc.
• Assist with ad-hoc programme activities on behalf of the programme manager and fulfil the role of a junior project manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A BSc degree in Engineering
