10 Things You Didn’t Know About Francios Hougard
All sports men who take the professional route have to start somewhere, be it a local community club or a provincial club. The ultimate goal however is to land a spot in the national team. Francios Hougard has had a similar path and has so far gone to represent the country in the national squad. Here’s a list of things we didn’t know about him.
1. Francios joined the Blue Bulls in the year 2008.
2. He was the youngest player starting in the Currie Cup in 2009.
3. Francios grew up with four older sisters.
4. After winning the Currie Cup in 2009, he won the Super Rugby title in 2010.
5. As a young boy Francois had very little interest in rugby. In fact one could go as far as to say that he actually hated the game.
6. As a child growing up in Cape town he had a passion for cheerleading and was named as Captain of his schools’ elite cheerleading squad at the age of just 15.
7. He started playing for the Spring Boks in 2009.
8. Aside from rugby Francios has a love for fast cars.
