Lasizwe Joins the Growing Number of SA Celebs on Sobriety Journey. One thing about many of our celebrities, they are great role models. After learning from their mistakes, these celebs often take to social media to inspire their fans and followers.

Drugs and alcohol abuse, have always been among the major things destroying the lives of many young South Africans. Sadly even people in the entertainment industry are constant victims of drugs and alcohol abuse. The great thing is that a lot of such personalities have turned their lives around to live clean lives. The likes of Trevor Gumbi, Kabelo Mabalane, Nina Hastie, Lebo M, Innocent Masuku and Thabang Moleya are among those who constantly inspire us by sharing their stories of sobriety on social media.

Another celebrity who has just publicly joined the list is Lasizwe. The YouTube content creator, actor and media personality has cloaked over a month without touching alcohol. As it is for many people, Lasizwe met some challenges along the way. One of those challenges is abstaining from alcohol at social gathering, surrounded by people who drink.

On the brighter side though, there have been great rewards, that Lasizwe really appreciates. Some of those include gaining some valuable lessons in self-awareness, self control and managing anxiety. We wish Lasizwe all the best as he continues this remarkable journey.

Tomorrow marks a significant milestone for me, as it will have been over a month since I last consumed alcohol. This journey has been both challenging and rewarding. Maintaining sobriety in the midst of social gatherings can be difficult, especially when one’s friends are not abstaining. However, this experience has taught me valuable lessons in self-awareness and self-control, particularly in managing anxiety. I am proud of the progress I have made and look forward to continuing on this path of personal growth,” he said.
