10 Things You Don’t Know About Thomas Gumede

We all have come to know and love the Forever Young trio, each of them for different reasons though. Thomas Gumede being the actor and comedian of the group has starred in many local movies and series. Apart from what we’ve seen of his life, here’s a list of what you may have not known about him.

1. Thomas was born in KwaZulu Natal and moved to Johannesburg at the age of 13 with his family.

2. He studied film and live performance.

3. Thomas made his TV debut in October 2005 in a VW Passat advert.

4. Growing up I always knew acting was my destiny.

5. Thomas draws his inspiration from watching famous actors like Denzel Washington, Will Smith and Cuba Gooding Jr.

6. He’s acted in local television series such as Gothia Caper, Mthunzini.com, Backstage, Home Affairs and Soul City.

7. Thomas produced and starred in the Vuzu reality series Forever Young, which follows him and fellow actors Siya Ngwekazi and Lungile Radu.

8. He has performed at numerous live comedy gigs, including the successful 99% Zulu Comedy Show in Durban.

9. Thomas is one of the founders of Parental Advisory Productions along side with Lungile Radu, Siyabonga Ngwekzi and Siphiwe Mhlongo.

10. He lives by the words “Get Busy Living.”
