Known for his humble personality and contagious smile, Anga Makubalo also known as NaakMusiQ made his first  TV playing appearance as MJ in the South African soapie, Generations. With the soapie being one of the biggest in the country, this made his rise to fame grow at a fast pace because there was no way anyone could miss him. Here are 10 facts we didn’t know about the not-so-little Anga Makubalo aka MJ aka NaakMusiQ.

1. His Xhosa name Anga means wish

2. Anga Makubalo was born in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth then moved to Johannesburg with his mother when he was a kid.

3. Anga received a sports bursary in high school and participated in a variety of sports.

4. Anga attended acting and presenting classes at Talent International and later became a part-time teacher at the same school, coaching and mentoring young talents.

5. Anga Makubalo studied contemporary music at Damelin.

6. He is also known as Naak Music.

7. His stage name, NaakMusiQ, is a way to show love to his family as it is an acronym from their names

8. His love for music comes from his family.

9. Anga Makubalo started acting on Generations in 2011. He initaill auditioned for the role of Nicolus but didn’t get the role because they were looking for a Tswana speaking person.
