Here Is What Local Celebrities Have to Say About the Thabo Bester Story

Here Is What Local Celebrities Have to Say About the Thabo Bester Story. Trending day in and day out on both social media and the mainstream media is the one and only Thabo Bester. His story gets confusing, yet interesting by the minute. A year ago, he was declared dead in prison, and now he is a wanted fugitive.

Thabo is known as the Facebook rapist who lured women, only to rape and steal from them. He was then convicted of murder and two counts of rape. It turns out while in prison, he was running multi-million rand scam business. Bester also posed as the “chairman” of 21st Century Media. He appeared at a glamorous Johannesburg event on 13 June 2018 via video conference, while he was in prison pretending to be in New York. At the event attendees sang happy birthday to him, while he was just chilling in his prison cell.

All this time when many assumed he is dead, Bester has been living it up in a R12m luxury home in Hyde Park in Johannesburg’s plush northern suburbs. This is since he supposedly died in a fire in Mangaung prison in May last year. There are images of a man, who looks exactly like him, who was spotted doing shopping in one of the well-known grocery stores.

To prove that indeed Bester has many lives, Correctional services department has stated that the DNA results have revealed the burnt body at Mangaung Prison is not that of Bester. A statement released by the department reveals Bester escaped prison and they are appealing to the public to help find him.

Some of our celebrities have joined the public in weighing in on this Bester issue. The likes of Anele Mdoda, Rami Chuene, Mmusi Maimane and so many others have shared their views on social media platforms.
