Lasizwe Makes it on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2022 List. The #FORBESAFRICA30Under30 class of 2022 has just been revealed. This is the most-anticipated list on the continent, for Africa’s young trailblazers who always represent their countries well across the continent and abroad.
The Forbes class of 2022 care about being visionaries of change and catalysts for innovation. Celebrating its eighth edition, the list this year features the best and the brightest, but importantly, the most resilient, who have taken the time to not only shine a light on the issues plaguing Africa’s growth in a pandemic era but also work towards shifting the narrative, one tiny, tenacious step at a time.
Among South African personalities who made it on the list is the one and only Lasizwe Dambuza. The celebrated YouTube content creator, media personality and actor couldn’t help but gush over his achievement. He took to social media where he shared his story of coming from humble beginnings to making it on the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 Class of 2022 list.
“From making videos using a phone in the streets of Pimville Soweto to making it onto #Forbes30Under30,” Lasizwe gushed.
Lasizwe is dedicating this amazing award to his parents, who unfortunately have passed away. He wishes they could be here to witness this moment with him. Lasizwe also thanked Forbes Africa and his supporters who he refers to as, “Sweeeries.”
“If you’re reading this, today should be the day you realize that the only person stopping you from achieving your dreams and that person is you. Stand up and fetch your life.

Another inspirational South African, Phupho Gumede, a fashion stylist, has also made it on the list.
